soundscape workshop series
2026

Description
The soundscapes on this tape are the result of a five-part workshop with kids from BSO Kasteel in Rotterdam, in collaboration with A Tale of a Tub.

The sounds on this cassette were recorded by the kids using a field recorder in the direct environment of the Justus van Effencomplex. In some cases, they are supported by synthesizer sounds of the Access Virus TI.

Concluding the workshop series, each child recorded a newly composed soundscape to tape using a Roland SP-404MKII sampler, an external microphone, and effects.
